Simulation Institute

Providing education and training for healthcare providers

The MetroHealth Simulation Institute (MSI) provides training and education to learners both inside and outside of the MetroHealth network in simulated environments to train on new equipment and procedures, stay up to date on certifications and accreditation, and avoid operational and safety errors with real patients.

The Simulation Institute serves approximately 30+ departments and groups equating to approximately 3,500 learners per year for a total of 16,000 annual learner contact hours.

History

Since it’s creation in 2012, the MetroHealth Simulation Institute has functioned as a center of excellence in education and training. Through sound education methods and high-fidelity simulation, MSI serves the needs of the professionals within the MetroHealth System, so that MetroHealth remains a regional leader in healthcare delivery and education.
