Cadavers
Through the MetroHealth Simulation Institute, medical students and departments have the opportunity to work and study on a cadaver. Usage of cadavers is a part of the ED Cornerstone program completed by first year EM residents and is a prime example of the learning benefits that arise from this experience.
There are guidelines and rules that facilitators and learners are expected to adhere to out of respect for the opportunity they have been presented with and priority to the morgue and its primarily functions comes first.
