The Simulation Institute collaborates with a variety of entities both internally, including the Office of Opioid Safety, Institute for H.O.P.E., Metro LifeFlight, and 34 departments within MetroHealth. MSI collaborates externally with fire departments, EMS, the Cuyahoga County Jail, local high schools, local law enforcement, Case Western Reserve University Medical School, and Baldwin-Wallace University’s Master of Public Health program. These collaborations enable simulation programming with a variety of health and safety professionals to provide the highest level of care to patients and the community.

MSI also drives for interprofessional and interdepartmental collaboration. Through programs like ED IPE, Emergency Department Interprofessional Education, the Simulation Institute is able to promote effective team skills such as communication, adaptability, and teamwork which strengthens team dynamic. Nurses, Medics, and Providers experience these simulations together and allow for these individuals to become integrated into a team.
